Resistance 2

Resistance 2 (PS3, 2008) cranks up the scale of its predecessor, trading the gritty UK setting for a U.S.-based alien invasion with bigger weapons (like the Magnum that shoots through walls) and 8-player co-op (class-based squad battles). Nathan Hale’s struggle against the Chimera takes a backseat to spectacle—think skyscraper-sized bosses and set-pieces—but the campaign’s pacing falters, and the 60-player online (now defunct) was more chaotic than balanced. A fun, if uneven, sequel.
