NHL 11, released in September 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, celebrates the 20th anniversary of the series by introducing a groundbreaking physics engine. This engine dramatically enhances realism, allowing for more authentic player interactions, puck physics, and dynamic collisions that feel less scripted and more organic. The game also features a refined “Be a Pro” mode, where players can develop their own player from junior leagues up through the NHL, and an improved “Be a GM” mode. New gameplay additions include broken sticks, a more tactical faceoff system, and enhanced dekes.
