My Hero

Become a street fighting champion in My Hero, an early and surprisingly deep side-scrolling beat-’em-up for the Sega Master System! You control a young martial artist named Jackie who must fight his way through hordes of street thugs and villains to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend, Maria. Unlike many simple brawlers of the era, this game features two unique, intense boss battles—a towering martial arts master and a giant mechanical robot—that punctuate the action and test your fighting skills.
