Hexen [Loose]

Hexen: Beyond Heretic is a dark fantasy first-person shooter that was ported to the PlayStation 1. As the sequel to Heretic, the game places players in a world overrun by the second of three Serpent Riders, Korax. A key feature of Hexen is the ability to choose from three distinct character classes—Fighter, Cleric, or Mage—each with their own unique weapons and abilities. The game is also known for its “hub” system, which links levels together and requires players to backtrack to solve complex puzzles, a departure from the linear level design of other shooters at the time. While the PlayStation port had some technical limitations, it captured the original’s atmospheric world and challenging, action-oriented gameplay.
