“Pokémon Pearl,” released alongside “Pokémon Diamond” in 2006 (Japan) and 2007 (elsewhere) for the Nintendo DS, initiates players into the Sinnoh region, tasking them with becoming the Pokémon League Champion. Trainers explore a world filled with diverse Pokémon, battle Gym Leaders, and confront the nefarious Team Galactic, who seek to reshape the universe. The game introduced new gameplay mechanics, such as the Physical/Special split for moves and online battling and trading via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, while also featuring legendary Pokémon Palkia as its mascot and a counterpart to Diamond’s Dialga, offering a distinct yet complementary experience within the fourth generation of Pokémon games.
