The gameplay focuses on fast-paced combat using a variety of weapons and scrolls found within the dungeons, with an emphasis on item management and strategic movement, as death sends Izuna back to the beginning with only some persistent items. The sequel builds upon the first game with new characters, dungeons, and a more humorous storyline, maintaining the challenging and addictive nature of the roguelike genre.
