“Mega Man Battle Network 4: Red Sun,” released on the Game Boy Advance in 2003 in Japan and 2004 in North America and Europe, is an action RPG where players control Lan Hikari and his NetNavi, Mega Man, to combat cyber threats. This version, along with its counterpart “Blue Moon,” features a tournament-style storyline where Mega Man gains abilities called “Soul Unisons” by defeating other NetNavis. “Red Sun” offers exclusive Soul Unisons like GutsSoul and RollSoul, unique Giga Chips such as MeteoRedSun, and different Navi opponents compared to “Blue Moon,” encouraging players to experience both versions for the full story and all collectibles. The gameplay retains the series’ signature blend of overworld exploration and strategic grid-based battles utilizing Battle Chips.
