Moshi Monsters: Katsuma Unleashed (2012) is a side-scrolling platformer for the Nintendo DS, based on the popular online kids’ game Moshi Monsters. Players control Katsuma, one of the iconic monsters, on a quest to rescue his friends from the villain Dr. Strangeglove across colorful, puzzle-filled levels. Designed for younger audiences, it features simple combat, item collection, and mini-games, but was criticized for short length and repetitive gameplay. A tie-in to the franchise’s peak popularity, it’s best suited for devoted Moshi Monsters fans.
