Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (2014) is the definitive HD entry in Nintendo’s crossover fighting series, packing every character, stage, and item from the 3DS version with crisp 1080p visuals and 8-player local chaos. The GamePad adds asymmetric fun (stage builder! item spawner!), while DLC like Cloud and Bayonetta kept the meta fresh. Though the single-player “Smash Tour” falls flat, the online battles (still active!) and amiibo-trained fighters make it a must-own Wii U masterpiece.
