Heavy Rain (PS3, 2010) is a cinematic interactive drama where every choice—from mundane (brush teeth?) to life-or-death (cut off your finger?)—shapes a gripping noir thriller. Play as four characters (a desperate dad, a journalist, an FBI agent, a PI) hunting the Origami Killer in a rain-soaked, David Fincher-esque world. Its QTE-driven tension and branching storylines (18+ endings) were groundbreaking, though clunky voice acting (“SHAUN!”) and plot holes linger. A flawed but emotional rollercoaster.
