SplashDown (PS2/Xbox, 2001) is a high-speed jet ski racer that blends arcade thrills with realistic water physics, carving through tropical lagoons, Arctic channels, and desert canals. Its dynamic wave system forces you to ride swells for boosts or dodge rogue breakers, while tricks and nitro bursts add a Wave Race-meets-SSX vibe. Though overshadowed by Wave Race: Blue Storm, its track variety (including shortcuts and geysers) and split-screen multiplayer made it a solid alternative. A sun-soaked, forgotten gem for racing fans.
