Pokémon Crystal Version (GBC, 2000) refined Gold/Silver with animated sprites, the Battle Tower, and the iconic Suicune storyline—plus the series’ first female protagonist. Its time-based events, day/night cycles, and expanded lore (Burned Tower, Celebi event) made Johto feel alive. A landmark entry that set the standard for future Pokémon games.
