Description
The Super Nintendo Controller is a groundbreaking peripheral that revolutionized video game gamepad design. Building upon the success of the NES controller, it introduced a new, more ergonomic shape with rounded edges for better grip. Its most significant innovations were the addition of two more face buttons, arranged in a diamond shape (A, B, X, and Y), and two shoulder buttons (L and R), which have since become a standard in the industry. This expanded button layout allowed for more complex gameplay and is the direct predecessor of almost every modern controller, from PlayStation to Xbox.
